From ancient times till now, Cotu ladies have woven their own clothes. The uniqueness of Cotu weaving can be found in the use of plastic and lead beads to create unique motifs. All the motifs introduced here are indispensable to Cotu life.

In 2014, the national government recognized traditionnal Cotu weaving skills as an intangible cultural heritage.
